Agenda for Meeting

Welcome

1) Guess speaker from LIU giving a presentation on- community college programs.

2) Reading of Minutes from last meeting( 11.21.06)

-President discussed declining grades in reading exams. 

-Plans for fundraising activities for Dec. 

-Workshops to address ELA tests in Dec. 

-Need for reading materials for students in upper grades.

-Fundraising: movie night and cake sale.

-Parents indicated interest in fundraising activities.

3) Nomination for 2 seats in the School Leadership Team. 

-We will do the nomination today. 

-Voting will take place on Tuesday 01/02/07.

4) ELA workshop on 12/21/10 in the Library- Rm 234. 

-Important that parents with testing students attend.  Will be given test prep information and packages (only those who attend workshop). 

-Also, there will be discussions on revision of test from last year.

5) Financial statements on fundraising activities will be given out. 

-Our Treasurer will give profit/loss reports.

6) Vote on donating funds to the Class Room Reading Libraries.

-Voting will be done today.

7) Parents discussion in orderly manner, so all of us could be heard.
