Library Mission Statement 

Dominic Zagami, Principal            Edie Jud, Library Media Specialis

We will stimulate our students' curious minds by actively engaging them in positive learning experiences.

We will follow an integrated course of study aligned to the New York State Performance Standards.

We will help students gain confidence and build self-esteem by empowering them to take responsibility for their own learning.

 

We will encourage collaborative effort, involving students &parents, teachers & administrators, school staff & community members, thereby enriching the students' lives and providing them with the academic and social skills needed to become active, productive members of society.

We will provide open access to information resources and materials for the entire school community and beyond.

 

We will maintain an environment conducive to learning, incorporating a variety of student-centered approaches, with a special focus on developing a state-of-the-art media center.

We will give students a place they can call their own, where creative spirits are nurtured, strengths are applauded and weaknesses are transformed into positive qualities which build character and shape futures.

We will foster every opportunity which provides every person entering our doors with an educational experience, helping them to acquire a love of and respect for reading and books, and with the goal of instilling in them the desire for life-long learning.
