A Message from the P.S. 377 Librarian

The Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning which follow have been identified by the American Library Association and are nationally accepted as essential for student success and achievement. Mrs. Mejias and I, as well as the entire teaching staff at P.S. 377, are committed to every child in our school having a basic understanding of library and research skills. We work together to provide our students with interesting, educationally sound projects and activities which incorporate these newly acquired strategies into everyday learning. As we continue to grow in tandem, we expect to integrate new materials, upgraded technology and ever-better techniques to help make our School Library Media Center the heart of our living and breathing Community of Learners.
